Hussainsha Syed
An independent theoretical physicist working on the unification of general relativity and quantum mechanics, and a senior cybersecurity engineer architecting enterprise identity systems. Two disciplines, one method: build from first principles, instrument carefully, and test against reality.
A practitioner who treats uncertainty as a measurable quantity — bringing the rigour of theoretical physics into the architecture of enterprise identity, and the discipline of enterprise engineering into the pursuit of a unified theory.
Hussainsha Syed works across two domains that most people treat as separate. As an independent theoretical physicist, he is developing the Modulation Theory of Gravity — a programme aimed at unifying general relativity and quantum physics by extending Einstein's field equations with modulation terms that carry quantum information at the level of spacetime curvature itself.
As an IAM Architect at Optiv, he designs SailPoint IdentityNow programmes for enterprise clients, integrating heterogeneous systems and turning compliance requirements into automated, auditable workflows. He also serves as a Trusted Reviewer for IOP Publishing, peer-reviewing manuscripts for journals of the Institute of Physics.
The connecting thread is method: state the problem precisely, model it from first principles, build the smallest experiment that can falsify the model, and iterate until the result holds up under scrutiny — whether the scrutiny comes from a referee or an audit.
M.Tech. in Digital Electronics & Communication Systems
Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer
- Architect and deliver SailPoint IdentityNow (ISC) solutions for large enterprise clients
- Integrate heterogeneous systems — Web Services, JDBC, Active Directory, ADP, and other cloud and on-prem sources — into IdentityNow for secure, automated identity lifecycle management
- Lead end-to-end onboarding of business-critical applications, optimising provisioning, access reviews, and compliance workflows
- Design advanced configuration components — Connector Rules, Cloud Execution Rules, Transforms, and Workflow Orchestration — for scalable, policy-driven IAM automation
- Provide strategic guidance and technical training to stakeholders and administrators, driving adoption, process maturity, and audit readiness
- Diagnose and resolve complex integration and operational issues, keeping connected systems stable, performant, and continuously compliant
Senior Consultant
- Authored custom JDBC connector rules and Before/After Provisioning Rules in Java to support complex web-API and database integrations
- Led the large-scale onboarding of 300+ enterprise applications to SailPoint IdentityNow, including High-Value Assets (HVAs) and Key Financial Systems (KFS)
- Directed the migration of legacy IAM integrations from RSA to SailPoint IdentityNow with full data continuity and regulatory compliance
- Delivered solution kickoff sessions, client demos, and technical workshops, translating business requirements into actionable IAM configurations
- Built Python automation for operational security tasks, including secure file cleanup and IAM system maintenance
- Participated in the Scaled Agile (SAFe) delivery model — PI planning and cross-functional collaboration every quarter
IAM Engineer
- Supported SailPoint IdentityNow and IIQ issue resolution to SLA/OLA as part of the DevSecOps team
- Managed SailPoint IdentityNow for identity and access governance across the organisation
- Built AWS infrastructure from scratch — VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM — with an emphasis on high availability and auto-scaling
- Automated build and release with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker
- Managed Git repositories, branching and merging strategies, and provided day-to-day Git support
- Deployed Kubernetes objects on GCP and performed configuration management with Ansible
- Documented processes in Confluence and led knowledge transfer for team training initiatives
My research programme aims at the unification of general relativity and quantum physics — framed as the Modulation Theory of Gravity, in which spacetime curvature carries quantum information through additional modulation tensors layered onto Einstein's field equations.
Three ventures, each built on the same conviction: the next generation of software needs to make the invisible visible — whether that is an idea waiting to be shipped, a non-human actor inside an enterprise, or a prompt about to be sent to a model.
A community-driven platform where founders, builders, and curious minds bring half-formed ideas into a space where they can be shaped, paired with collaborators, and moved toward something shippable.
An AI-native platform that brings clarity to the explosion of non-human identities inside the modern enterprise. ACTORISS tells you who owns each NHI, what it does, what access it has, and gives you the controls to stop risk the moment it appears.
LabForP — Prompt Forge is the execution memory for AI work: ordered prompt sequences, team vaults, model connectors, prompt striking, and persisted sequence runs that let teams operate large-language-model workflows with the rigour of source-controlled software.
